One of our greatest environmental achievements last year was working with one of our schools to change the 80% of waste going to landfill to 80% being recycled.
We met with the client and installed new recycling systems strategically located around the school and altered the cleaning and site operations to ensure we could capture as many items as possible to be streamed into the appropriate recycling categories.
As a result, the school successfully managed to convert the landfill waste to meet and exceed the goal of 80% of waste being recycled. Not only did it improve the school’s environmental credentials, but also resulted in a cost saving in its thousands.
