In 2019 we were awarded a secondary school with a large degree of open flooring.
The incumbent team’s approach to deliver the cleaning of these areas was to wet mop daily using traditional Kentucky mops. This resulted in a slow, physically demanding and cumbersome process using a large volume of water and cleaning products. A battery-operated pedestrian scrubber drier was introduced to the school along with a flat mop system.
The impact of making these changes meant that there was a reduction of cleaning hours per day: significantly increasing the productivity. The saving in cleaning hours meant that this more than offset the cost of the scrubber drier to the client and resulting in an overall cost saving to the school. Eco-save technology bought further benefits to the client with reduced water consumption and solution usage. Overall client satisfaction was increased due to cost saving, higher productivity, improved standards and presentation, health and safety recognition and a new approach to the environment.
